A console is the perfect piece to bring personality into any interior. This week’s selection showcases ingenuity in both form and material. The curved forms of Vonnegut/Kraft’s Mesa Console transcend the materiality of hardwood, while KWH’s Repeat/Arc Console features a layered arc detail, an element also found in M. Pei Studio’s part-column, part-arc Portico Console Table. Meanwhile, Scheibe’s Cumberland Console Table takes a more elemental l form, with a beveled edge and dual triadic legs. Last but not least, inspired by line drawings, Phaedo’s Lexan Series captures the movement and playfulness of the artist’s sculptural work, adding a whimsical feel to any interior.
