Studio Visit: Fleeting Gestures by Anjuli Bernstein

This week we are sharing a look into artist Anjuli Bernstein’s studio in advance of her debut exhibition at Colony, Fleeting Gestures.

These shots show Anjuli’s studio as it is, orderly and precise; each skein of yarn wrapped neatly alongside the next. Every one of her newest pieces was woven on the lowest floor of an industrial building in Bushwick. Inside her studio, South-facing windows let in a soft wash of light. Woven samples hang on various pin-boards and glimmer in its rays. The space is serene—perfect for the concentration weaving demands.

Join us next Thursday, June 11 to view these woven works off the loom and on the gallery walls. We hope to see you there!
