Join us to welcome textile artist Anjuli Bernstein to the Colony roster with her exhibition Fleeting Gestures, a debut of her newest woven works. We first encountered Anjuli through our consultation program and recognized her as a gifted technical weaver with immense artistic potential. We have had the privilege of providing mentorship throughout the development of Fleeting Gestures over the last six months and encouraging all of Anjuli’s most romantic impulses. From our very first studio visit, we have been enchanted with her inspirations as if they were our own. From the repeating perforations on a seashell to a sense of vast geological time, each artwork in the presented collection is imbued with a poetic viewpoint.
