SSS ATELIER
Sarah Sherman Samuel Inc. is a multi-disciplinary design studio focused at the intersection of interiors, architecture, art, and product design. The studio was founded by Sarah Sherman Samuel in Los Angeles in 2014 and is currently nestled in the woods of West Michigan with clients across the US. Deeply inspired by the natural world, Sarah looks to nature’s juxtaposition of materiality, pattern, texture, and patina to inspire a grounded yet organic feeling in the spaces she designs; the result is a design ethos that feels purposeful yet uncontrived, raw yet polished, structured yet whimsical, much like nature itself.
In 2022 Sarah launched SSS Atelier, a virtual gallery home to her original plaster work, limited edition serigraph tapestries, and in-house furniture collection, rooted in themes of place, community, and design. Each piece is fabricated in the U.S. with a strong emphasis on craftsmanship coming out of Michigan, a bastion of furniture design and manufacturing dating back to the early 1800’s. Made from the highest quality natural materials - oak, walnut, leather, and the designer's favorite stones, the pieces carry with them an heirloom quality, meant to stand the test of time and serve as an anchor to any design style.

KWH Furniture was founded on the philosophy that beauty lies in simplicity. With a design aesthetic of clean lines and craftsmanship focused on attention to detail, KWH offers high-quality, handcrafted furniture that will last for generations. KWH utilizes traditional joinery methods and finishes that are chosen to enhance the natural beauty of the carefully selected wood materials. Designer and craftsman Kai-wei Hsu is a graduate of the Rhode Island School of Design’s furniture design program. His experiences living and traveling in Asia have had a significant influence on his design sense.
