The Porter Quilt by Meg Callahan is an expression of an interest in the construction and deconstruction of patterns. The Porter Quilt is made using the “strip quilting” technique, in which large stripes are sewn together and then cut down and rearranged to create a new pattern. In this case, stripes were cut to strips, and then sewn into stripes again.
Care: Avoid direct sun to maintain color intensity. To remove fold lines or wrinkles, steam with an iron, or spritz with water and allow to dry flat. I would recommend getting the quilt professionally cleaned. In between cleanings, quilts may be vacuumed to remove any surface dirt and dust. Inquire
