The Porter Quilt by Meg Callahan is an expression of an interest in the construction and deconstruction of patterns. The Porter Quilt is made using the “strip quilting” technique, in which large stripes are sewn together and then cut down and rearranged to create a new pattern. In this case, stripes were cut to strips, and then sewn into stripes again
